Our family property is located in Upper Mill Canyon, accessible by Argyle Canyon. The Indian Canyon and Wells Draw routes come perilously close to interfering with our property, which would be detrimental in a myriad of ways. Our property, (and those surrounding), were deeply affected by wildland fires in 2002 and again in 2012. The most recent of which actually destroyed our cabin and several others in Upper Mill Canyon and surrounding canyons. We have worked tirelessly to heal our property and we cannot imagine having to suffer yet another tragedy that a railway could potentially bring. Railways are unhealthy for the environment in several ways; most concerning of which would be oil spills from derailments and wreckage; and of course sparking wildfires. Not to mention the insane tax dollars that would be required to cover such a grand scheme. I personally see more cons than pros with the proposed railway routes and would sincerely hope that they are not considered, period.
