I believe this project should receive zero public funds. If companies wish to see the project completed, they should pay for all related costs. The public should not subsidize oil and gas companies that post upwards of $5,100,000,000.00 in revenue. (https://www.forbes.com/companies/sinclair-oil/#3ca501164dd6). That is one single company with presence in the Uintah Basin. This proposal is akin to tax payers building sports stadiums for the NFL that makes billions. I cannot state this simply enough. Zero taxpayer dollars should be spent on this project. Let us keep our money and let the companies that want this railroad to build it.
