This area, while deemed by some as unimportant, has many individuals that us it for recreation. The sand dunes are located here, as well as grazing for cattle, walking, bow shoots, off-road vehicle trails, biking, farming, and personal residences. While the train may not run directly over the dunes, it will effect the area around there and adversly the environment and the ability to continue these types of recreation. I feel like a serious look should be taken to protect the Sand dunes and their uniqueness in this location. I also think it unneccessary to place the train this close to homes when there are alternative routes availible or the track could be ran more toward the south.
