As a property owner in the area and someone who has lived next to railroad tracks for years I am very concerned about fires started from sparks that come off of bad wheels, bearings etc. Why would anyone want to leave a trailer or build a cabin in an area that is prone to wildfire because of the rail(safety concerns). Access and egress into our property's will be seriously impacted because of the rail. Also the way information has been disseminated by the SCIC is concerning and possibly verging on illegal. Closed door meetings that should have been open to the public, Very little time left for public comment(looks like it is planned that way) And I question the way public moneys are being spent by them (SCIC)
