I am very much for building the economy in the Basin, and perhaps the railroad would do this. However, thus far I have not seen much transparency with the proposal and predicted outcomes. At the moment, it seems like a money grab of public funds by the private sector. Until there is greater transparency, I am against building the railway. Statements like "it just makes sense" don't work. I can name numerous towns WITH railways where the economy did not grow (I can also name some where it did). The companies involved need to be more diligent and transparent in their financial predictions. Lastly, mineral release funds should not have been used. It is their purpose to offset mining, not further it. Thank you.
