To the Environmental Impact Board: I believe the railroad will have no negative impact on the Environment of our area. It won't hurt the natural surroundings at all. The sun will keep coming up every morning. The grass, flowers, and trees will keep growing. The cows will keep eating their grass. The wildlife will not be harmed any more than the highway endangers them, in fact I'd venture to say, even less, than if 100 separate trucks were driving by- hauling the loads a train would haul. The land owners who are protesting the train going through their land I can sympathize with a little, but the amount of royalties they will likely receive will I'm sure be a nice payment! Too bad I don't own land in Indian Canyon, I'd love it! The clickety clack of a train isn't any worse than 4-wheelers of the ranchers buzzing across their ranch or up in the mountains, and it only lasts just a minute or two and then it rolls away. As far as ruining the scenery, the beauty is definately in the eye of the beholder. I love to see a train, and will especially love to see this one when the tracks are all built and it is running through the countryside because to me it will represent a more stable economy instead of the roller coaster ups and downs of the oil field, more jobs for the families who love to live here, more financial security for every business, and family, and child, and yet more to come! It represents progress and bringing our Vernal Area into the modern world. It means more tax revenue coming in to continue to grow and develop our area, and even fund the government workers' paychecks. The people who's land it will cross will be heroes in assisting this wonderful addition to our community to come into existence! I fully support the Uinta Railway! 3 Cheers! Geraldine Trujiullo
