I was born and raised in Vernal Utah. I have been employed at Ashley Regional Medical Center for the past 28 years. I am the CFO of the hospital. The proposed railroad has my full support. Not only will the railroad help our economy it will also help the entire nation not be dependent on foreign countries for our energy needs. I think the railroad will have a little to no impact on the environment. Many of the people opposed to the railroad do not even live here or understand our environment. I am in favor of the Indian Canyon Route because it is the least costly and will allow us to have access to two railroad companies. The railway will not only benefit the oil and gas industries, it will also benefit the agricultural industries. From my point of view there is a big upside to building the railroad and little downside if any.
