I want to thank the Seven County Infrastructure Coalition, as well as Mike McKee for the time and dedication to this project. Mike has joined us on my radio program "The Uintah Basin Today Show" many times and provided valuable information about the project. age and his organization and partners have been very transparent about the project throughout the entire process. I want to express my personal support of the project and the railway. The Uintah Basin is greatly impacted by its inability to ship oil to the global markets. The reality is that the basin will continue to go through large boom/bust cycles without diversifying it's client base and improving its infrastructure. No business can survive or be dependent on only one client. The North Salt Lake Refineries (NSLR) have enjoyed cheep oil from the basin, because we have nowhere else to ship our product. Our current supply far exceeds what the NSLR can take, and the basin should never be dependent on on customer or source of revenue. The Uinta Basin Railway will allow oil producers in the Basin export our oil to the global economy, this leveling out the highs and lows of the market cycles and reduce the discount NSLR receives from being our only customer. I support this rail project without reservation or apologies. As a local real estate agent in the basin I have sat across the table from families that has lost one or both jobs and are facing loosing their home to foreclosure, where short selling their home is their only best option. The rail infrastructure project allows the basin to grow and diversify it economy, which is long overdue.
