I grew up in the Uintah Basin and my father, Brad McClellan, is a well known life-long Basin resident. I have seen the ebbs and flows that occurred in the oil field during my upbringing and also by keeping in touch with friends who work for oil companies. I started a waste water company in 2008 and did most of our work for Anadarko on the Vernal side of the field. After a couple of years, during the first downturn, we sought work elsewhere and eventually found good work with EOG Resources in the Stanley area. Looking back I can clearly see how impactful and beneficial having a railway that can export petroleum and agriculture products from the Basin to the rest of the available markets can be. I'm not sure I would have had a need to leave the Basin if something of this nature were in place. I strongly condone and recommend that a railway be built. I have talked with executives from EOG's Houston office that know of the special characteristics that the crude in the Basin carries and it could help make petroleum products in the refineries in the gulf. It would completely revitalize and revive the Uintah Basin's economy and workforce. Thank you, Andrew
