As a former Vice President of Instruction at the Technical College, I was concerned with the economic welfare of the Uintah Basin. The lack of rail transportation has held back the region's growth for years. The ability to move high tonnage mineral, petrochemical, and agricultural products could greatly enhance this region's economic output, adding to Utah's productivity.
