To whom it may concern, I am the Mayor of Roosevelt city and also a property owner in Argyle canyon. I would like to voice my support in favor of the proposed rail route, particularly the Indian Canyon Route. I have heard many opinions in our city of the rail project and the great majority are in favor. I have also heard opinions of those opposing the project, and based on what I have heard, are mis/or uniformed. The Rail Project not only serves the oil & gas industry but will benefit the agricultural industry as well. It will give us an opportunity to finally diversify our economy in areas that are unavailable to us due to transportation restrictions. I have the opportunity to look at all the RFI's sent out by the EDC of Utah. Many of those investors looking to expand in Utah are looking for areas that have access to rail, especially those that are manufacturing based. The Rail Project in the basin would allow for growth in this industry and others, that would help ease some of the Overgrowth in the Wasatch front. The reason for my preference of the Indian Canyon Route, would be to connect us to Salt Lake, instead of Colorado. As a property owner in Argyle, would be happy to give that up for the benefit of all who live in the Basin, and those who would benefit State Wide. Thank you for your time. Best Regards, JR Bird Roosevelt City Mayor
