I am completely opposed to the construction of the Uinta Basin Railway project. In an age of climate change primarily fueled by unchecked resource extraction and fossil fuel use, approving a project to further the destruction of our environment to generate more carbon-based fuels is foolish and focused on short term, marginal benefits only. Our communities, tax dollars, and state wide programs should be investing in activities which not only regenerate our landscape but create long-lasting, robust economic activities providing meaningful, safe, and healthy jobs for all. Please reconsider this project.
