I moved my family from California to Utah because of the scenic value of the state. The natural beauty of Utah is it's most important, most valuable resource and if protected, it will be a sustainable way for Utah to support itself economically. I do not support this project for the following reasons: * Utah should decrease development of oil resources and instead invest in protection of the natural beauty of the public lands. It's time for Utah to place more value on its environment. * This project will increase air pollution. * Extraction and combustion of oil will increase fossil fuel development and contribute to global warming - an issue that will affect the whole state. * With increasing temperatures in the past two decades, and in the future with climate change, water availability will become even more of an issue for Utah. This project would use valuable water resources instead of preserving the water resources for other uses throughout the state.
