I respectfully request that the STB cease any further action on the proposed GLB rail project. The project would interfere with local wildlife, farming activities, and would be a safety hazard to my family. Not only is there a potential impact to our water supply, but my family could be cut off from emergency services due to lengthy trains. I further understand that the GLB railway will not have a positive economic impact on the area. The jobs they claim to provide will be temporary and likely will be filled by others outside our area, commuting in to work and leaving when the job is done. The resulting railway will lower my property value, lowering my village's tax base which will further financial issues caused by the lack of state funding. I fail to see the benefit of this project and fear moving forward with it would be a terrible mistake.
