I am greatly opposed to letting GLBR use Eminent Domain to acquire the land they want to be able to run their railway. Protecting our water supply is one of the greatest concerns I have, along with all the economical concerns. Any jobs created would be short term, and it would lower property values and make it nearly impossible to secure a loan for any upkeep or improvements people might need for their residences. It would also lower property values witch would mean less tax money to counties, villages and townships, but higher insurance rates for landowners within a 10-mile radius of the rail. Crop values would also be affected, and many farmers would also lose their land. Enough if enough! Eminent Domain has to stop! People have rights, too! Would you want it in your neighborhood, because if it is not right for you, it's not right for us!
