Please do not approve the Great Lakes Basin Railroad to take local land (farmland, wetlands, private property) in order to build a railroad that is not needed. This project will not create long-term jobs in the area, but it will mean less tax money to local entities as property values drop. The number of trains and proposed cargo are both damaging to the environment, and could lead to incredible disasters in this area. This railrad is not needed. Please do not approve it.
