Dear Kenneth, I am writing you today in regards to the Great Lakes Basin Railroad proposal. If this proposal is approved and GLB is allowed to build a Railroad across the proposed route this will make the community in witch we live in a dangerous and a undesirable place to live. I have enjoyed living out in the country in the quiet ,peaceful area of Shirland all my life and I hope to be able to keep my family right here. But the fact is 100 high speed trains a day carrying Hazardous material, and closing many vital roads this community is dependent on for their livelihoods will force many people to leave this area and leave Winnebago county. I can understand the reasoning behind the law that gave Railroads the right to build railways to improve transportation to benefit communities over 75 years ago. But I don't understand how one person or one company should be allowed to in danger so many communities Using the same law for only 1 persons personal gain. When we now have much safer ways of transporting such materials today. GLB Railroad would be in no way a good thing for this community. I hope you will do what you can to help us block GLB from potently damaging many of our god given natural resources, our rivers, drinking water and our farm land. Thank you for your time and god bless.
