Ken, I have several concerns about the upcoming GLB Railroad decision. The rail yard has several negative impacts on our environment that greatly concern me. I highly value the protection of land and water because water = life. The soil as well as wetlands, creeks, woodlands, and rivers that this rail yard would interrupt concerns my well being as well as the life that surrounds the rail yard. Not only does this decision have a negative impact on health and environment, the practicality of it is also not feasible. This company has had no track record of building railroads or anything else for that matter. How can I trust this decision to positively impact my life if these men and women have no record in this area of business? If this company is not profitable, are the taxpayers going to bail them out? How have you proven this decision to be a good one? What research-based evidence do you have that will prove this to be a moral and appropriate decision? Also, one of my biggest conerns includes the harsh interruptions with our governing body and business. How can a private sector take over homes, land, and farming that is privately owned by citizens? Please contact me with any answers to the above questions. Thank you.
