Subject: Great Lakes Basin Railroad Project FD 35952 Dear Ms. Rutson, I'm writing to you concerning the new extension requested by Frank Patton regarding the GLBT railroad project. FD 35952. In my reading the letter sent to you by Mr. Patton, there has been no actual update stated. All he's done is ask for more time, to get money men, try to find rail lines that would actually use this project, find someone who will support this project. I believe CREATE has made great strides in cutting down the time to transport goods through Chicago and Mr. Patton's project is not needed. GLBT is not sure that April 30 will even be sufficient time to submit their application. Please set an end date to this man and if April 30 is not enough time, you will consider the application, withdrawn. I feel NO BUILD should be the final answer. Many people are holding off on making improvements to their homes, I'm one of them, growing their farms, buying existing homes that are for sale because of this possible train going 70 miles an hour next to their home.
