Vicki Rutson: I strongly oppose any extension for Frank Patton to submit his application regarding the Great Lakes Basin Transportation railroad that would destroy our state park and local environment, displacing farmers and schools. If the STB is inclined to grant the requested extension thru 4/30/17, I would strongly encourage the STB to make this a FINAL extension and grant no further extensions. This ongoing process has left many homeowners in limbo as they deliberate whether to sell their homes, withdraw their students from local schools and move before the beginning of next school year. etc. The ongoing delay is detrimental and I ask that STB put an end to this process by denying Patton's request for yet ANOTHER extension.
