Dear Ms. Rutson, My family has farmed in Serena Township, Illinois, for over 100 years. Thanks to their hard work they were able to double the size of our farm. My mom is 80 and my dad is 84. They have spent their life carrying on the farming legacy. While doing so they have also continued to give back to their community. This last Thursday my mom had her knee replaced, a very dangerous operation given her age and her history of blood clots. She has spent weeks worrying about how the surgery would go. When I arrived to see her that day she was just coming out of her anesthesia and they were trying to get her to stand for the first time. You could see her pain, fear and confusion, yet the first thing she asked me was what is happening with that Damm train?" You need to fully understand the stress and pain this proposal is having on the land owners in the path of destruction. I am urging you to deny Great Lakes Basin Railroad's request to extend the suspension of the environmental review process. They need to be given a firm final date to submit their paperwork, including contacted customers to your office. I am also respectfully asking you to issue a no build ruling once said paperwork is submitted, their is no justification for a project of this magnitude. Sincerely, Dennis Scheppler"
