The Great Lakes Basin Railroad shouldn't lay tracks, for it will have a huge negative effect on the people and environment. For example if a rail car carrying certain chemicals got in a wreck, countless people would have to evacuate schools, business and even their homes. Why would we place our community in a potentially dangerous and deadly situation? Additionally wildlife such as the already endangered Massasauga Rattlesnake would be effected since the tracks invade Its - and many other animals - habitat. Also , even just one derailment could cause permanate damage to our aquifer. The risks of the railroad outway any positives. We cannot risk our lives and health and the well being of our land and animals. Once damage is done there is no way to take back the environmental pollution of this traveling bomb.
