Stop the GLB railroad. Building this railroad through Winnebago County has no redeeming value to the citizens of Winnebago for the following reasons: 1. Property values within a 10 mile radius will drop. 2. Access to properties in both directions will be extremely restricted that will cause huge delays for citizens who live near by, for emergency vehicles having to wait for a train, for school buses trying to deliver students to and from school in Shirland and elsewhere, for farmers trying to reach their land on either side. There have been numerous meetings & rallies in opposition of GLB and, to my knowledge, not one meeting for the railroad. I think that says volumes.
