Good Morning Ken, Hope all is well. I will try not to consume too much of your time, as I am sure you are very busy. I am writing to express my concerns with the new GLB RR route through Winnebago County. The proposed route will be approximately 60 yards form my residence. Please see the attached screen shots. Pipelines and utilities will be 30 yards from my house. My house is on the left side of the screen shot. We have already marked the route out on the road for easy viewing. The GLB was also very nice to put an outside turn directly at my house. My residential concerns are many. How will up to 85 trains a day affect my cinder block foundation, interior walls, underground septic system, noise levels. As you can see by the maps, it is literally right next to my house. What data or studies are available on the constant vibration of the this many trains affecting the structure of a residence with this close of a proximity. I am also very concerned about the outside turn that is pointed directly at my residence. Any unforeseen train derailment would most certainly destroy my home and family. Of course this would also ruin any well water we are currently pulling from the ground. I have heard the all East/West roads will quite possibly have a dead end. I wonder how that will affect the 1000 vehicles a day that travel down Montague Rd. A dead end would almost certainly increase crime in the area, as the access to our law enforcement times would be increased. Please the attached maps. All police & fire times would triple. If an overpass were to be built, the entire front end of my property would be wiped out. My other concern is that this GLB RR has no financial value to our community. This will be a GLB RR Toll road and nothing more. We are very concerned about our quality of life if this RR were to be built in such close proximity to our residence. Please feel free to call with any questions or to send anyone out to our location to physically see just how close this is to our residence. The maps give you an idea, however you cannot fully grasp the reality of it all, until you see it marked in person. Thank You, Anthony Pipitone
