Please open a period of time for public comment for the rail project going through Winnebago county, Illinois. The residents concerns were not taken into account when this plan was suggested. This rail line will be a devastating thing taking valuable crop lands forever out of production and affecting the livelihoods of all in its path. It would go through environmentally sensitive areas disrupting wetland ecosystems irreparably. Our community would be cut off logistically from commercial businesses for even the simplest things as buying groceries. The area farmers will face financial hardships in addition to variables in weather which affects farm income by having additional trucking and machinery operating costs. Small businesses and school districts will struggle being cut off from parts of the community. Please consider a time for more input in order to accurately assess the impact of this endeavor. Thank you.
