I respectfully request an additional 60-day comment period now and after any substantial change to the Great Lakes Basin Railroad proposal. The U.S. Surface Transportation Board recently had more questions, and requested more detailed answers from the GLBRR sponsor. Local businesses and residents should have the same opportunity. Allowing the GLBRR sponsor to bypass public comments on the proposal by not actually filing an official request and floating one proposal after another in the press gives the impression that the project sponsor is getting preferential treatment. I'm certain that is not the case here, but to reassure local businesses and the public, I again request an additional 60-day comment period now and after any substantial change to the Great Lakes Basin Railroad proposal.
