I do understand there has been an alternative route suggested north of Lowell IN. I would like to state that any route in or near Lowell would continue to effect the traffic routes of our children attending school since our school district is very large and our children would still need to cross the proposed rail line. This route continues to cross through farmers fields and would continue to be problematic when there may be a derailment since it would still be problematic for first responders to reach a derailment. It would continue to effect our water shed as was stated when it was in Lowell as well. The problems for our town do not decrease because the rail line is proposed to be moved north of town. It continues to effect our community negatively.
