Even though the route has been changed from Boone to Winnebago county the Great Lake Basin Railroad (GLBR) is still a bad idea. It will divide farm fields, destroy prime farmland, and encourage sprawl. The GLBR will benefit investors but not the residents of Winnebago County. We hope that the Surface Transportation Board will deny approval of this new railroad plan. Thank you for considering our comments.
