My name is Jesse Pirrello and my residence is just over a mile away from the proposed GLB route. I have a number of concerns. One of which is how the roads near me will be impacted. Within just a short few mile stretch of the proposed route in the immediate area in which I and others commute daily, the route would have to cross Route 2, Prairie road, Simpson road, Montague road, and Meridian road. Approximate traffic counts for these roads are 6000, 1200, 700, 3000, and 3000 respectively with most of the traffic being people commuting to rockford in the morning, and returning after work at roughly the same time. I just cannot envision this scenario working well for anyone. The proposed route would seperate me and my neighbors from the nearest fire station and hospital, as well as police. School bus routes for Winnebago and Rockford school districts will be impacted also, and are a huge safety concern for me and my community. What, if any bridges are proposed for this area(zip code 61102 just north of Rock river)? Thank you.
