Hi, I had no idea that the STB was considering running a railway directly behind my home. We just went through fighting to stop the Illiana Highway from being built in front of my home and now we have to fight to keep a railway from being build behind my home. I do not understand why the STB is so intent on destroying our town. There is plenty of open land further south. Besides that, I-55 (Grant Street) is an emergency route for the hospital. If there are trains constantly running, how will emergency vehicles get through? I think this project should be reconsidered.
