I oppose the GLBT RR that is currently slated to pass within .5 miles of my home and the 7th generation plat of land which it is on. I oppose it for all the reasons I stated at the public hearing in Lowell, IN (I was a speaker). In addition to those life safety, wellness, cost, and quality of life issues I oppose the rail line as I have witnessed several different species of migratory waterfowl using the waterways and fields within and adjacent to the proposed right of way of the RR. Specifically I have witnessed these migratory waterfowl in the drainage ditches and fields on Clay street North of SR 2, and county road 173rd Ave. East of Clay street in Eagle Creek Township, Lake County, IN. I also oppose the RR as it will negatively affect the hundreds of species on the endangered, threatened and rare species list which possibly reside in the proposed RR right of way. I have attached three lists (one for each affected county in Indiana) which can be found on the Indiana DNR's website through a simple internet search. I request that it is verified and studied how each individual species on this list will be affected by the proposed RR in Lake, Porter, and La Porte Counties in Indiana. Thanks you for your time and I hope that you find that there is no environmentally friendly decision regarding this railroad other than to deny it altogether.
