I am very concerned about the proposed Great Basin Railroad proposed to go through the middle of our farm ground for many reasons. One of which the proposed route is only 400' feet from our yard. This concerns me as it will cut our farm field right in the middle. We will have to either have an access installed or go around on other roads. Second train accidents are more and more prevalent every day. Especially concerning if this train is hauling crude oil. We have children at our house all the time and expecting a grandchild. They no longer will be able to play in the yard without constant supervision. The installation of the train will disrupt the thousands of dollars we have spent in drainage, which will never be able to be restored exactly due to compaction. We will in a peaceful environment due to our choice. If this railroad is installed, this will be a disruption to our peace. My most concerning item is eminent domain. I do not know how this can happen by a personal investor. This would be like me putting a hot dog stand in the back of Mr. Patton's yard. Please consider all of our concerns when conducting your environmental study. We have a creek with lots of wildlife. Fossils have been found many times in our field. We appreciate your time when considering your decision.
