To the Surface & Transportation board and Dave Navecky, We are sending this letter with our concerns about the GLB railroad. We are a family run farm of ONLY 140 acres of crop land and pasture. We raise pure bred and commercial cattle that we sell nationwide for show calves and breeding females. And we are concerned with the train running through our farm and splitting it into 2 pieces which not only will take this land from us to feed our cattle it is also a concern on how we would get our cattle to the other side of the tracks safely. Our livelihood will be changed drastically if the train were to go through our property. Our other concerns are what the rail will be carrying such as toxic products, that will have an impact on our environment if there is a derailment. We have not heard about what this train will haul only speculation. We have a small stream that goes through our farm which is connected to the turtle creek watershed and tributary to the Mississippi river. In the spring of the year during the melt off of snow we have seen the water flood over the banks of the creek. Where will that water go if they put in a small culvert or bridge for the train to go over the creek where will the water go if the culvert is not big enough. This could also potentially damage our crops. Noise of the railroad will also have an effect on our cattle. They could lose milk production which will effect their calves growth also could effect the cows reproduction. If the train is put in we will have to cut our herd in half because we will lose pasture ground. Please take your time to study the impact that this track will have on the entire area and peoples lives. Thank you for your time, Daniel & Kristin Huisheere of Huisheere Family Cattle
