I urge you to disallow the Great Lakes Basin Transportation proposal. It would severely impact several natural areas, including Kankakee River State Park and Camp Saw-waw-nas-see. It would also gobble up prime farmland - an irreplaceable resource. While it may be legal to allow a private entity to use eminent domain to take other's businesses, I consider it immoral. Plus, several railroads have indicated they would not use the proposed line. For all these reasons, I urge you to stop this proposal.
