Mr Dave Navecky Surface Transportation Board Docket No. FD 35952 Mr. Navecky, I am very concerned about the environmental impact on the proposed Great Lakes Basin Rail Line ending east of Milton, WI. I’m especially concerned about the “Staging” of rail cars of some of the finest farmland in the world. These rail cars are known to “leak” and who knows what is being stored in them. This leakage would not only affect some of the finest soil in the world but could also have an impact on ground water contamination. I don’t think increasing the efficiency of freight rail traffic around Chicago is worth risking the contamination of some of the finest farmland in the world with some unknown man-made chemicals.
