Transportation Systems. I am opposed to Great Lakes Basin Transportation Project. My property is very near three active rail lines: Norfolk Southern RR to the west (Belshaw) and intersecting to the south (Schneider), and the CSX RR to the east which runs through Lowell. With or without my house windows open, I can often hear train horns day and night. Every day that I travel from and to my home, I must cross a minimum of one train track. (About seven years ago a woman from my bowling league was killed crossing the CSX track near my home on an extremely foggy morning.)The GLB Railroad would be too intrusive with the current established working rail lines near my house.
