Mr. Patton has not proven a need for a rail system around the Chicago area, nor has he proven to have the knowledge or ability to run a system of this type. He has made all kinds of promises that he is unable to keep (free electricity, silent trains, apparently he has never stood alongside a freight train going 70 miles per hour, and the whistles are controlled be the government not him, and what about the safety at crossings if there are no warning of a train coming? He said farmers could use the railroad to ship their grain, he is living in a dream world if he thinks a farmer is going to build a siding so he can load corn on to a railcar and the railroad is not going to stop at every farm to get this grain, he says property value will increase, have you ever seen a million dollar mansion being built next to a railroad? He will provide jobs, maybe temporary jobs for experienced railroad builders, but not for local contractors and businessmen, and if it is built what are the jobs that can be done on a train going nonstop through our county at 70 miles per hour? The environmental reasons for denying this project are endless, so the only conclusion to come to is to <<<<<DENY Mr. Patton A PERMIT TO EVEN GO ANY FUTHER IN THIS PROJECT!!!!>>>>>>> Ken Daggett
