Please consider my concern about the Great Lakes Basin Transportation Rail Line project. The amount of farm land lost, the amount the additional farm land lost due to making over passes. Boone County would have to double its police, fire and EMT services because it will cut the county in half. One section of our field takes weeks to dry out in order to plant, which makes me believe that the water is very close to the surface possibly due to an aquifer or part of an aquifer, with the building of the rail line I am worried about how it could alter our field.
