Please explain why a company with no railroad experience, a company that owns no trains, a company with no viable business plan available, a company that cannot tell the public how they are going to pay for the line, is allowed to even submit a proposal like the one Great Lakes Basin Railroad has proposed. This is simply one man’s dream being forced onto the public in the form of a nightmare. This man and his GLB line has destroyed the faith many people have that their government is here to protect them. The STB needs to send a clear denial message to GLB and send a message to the country that the government will protect them, that the environment is more important that profits and personal gain. The STB is design to help protect our valuable natural resources and they need to start by telling GLB no, prime farmland is more important to our nation than yet another railroad.
