Please explain in detail the safety measures that will be in place to ensure farmers and the trains themselves will be kept safe at the thousands of private field crossing the Great Lakes Basin Transportation Company says they will provide along this new rail line to farmers. Crossing that will not have lights or gates. Please keep in mind farmers use flammable liquid chemicals that they will be forced to transport across these lines, lines with no safety protections in place. Please explain who will be responsible for the damaged caused and the loss of life when a farmer hauling liquid flammable chemicals is struck by a freight train also carrying flammable liquids or oil tankers. This is a real threat that needs addressed. The GLB plan has some many deficiencies and naiveties in the plan it is insulting. How are farmers and the trains themselves going to be kept safe at these thousands of private rail crossings?
