The Great Lakes Basin line creates many new head-rows or the rows of crops on the outside of the field. This will happen as GLB rips farms apart and fields are sliced into two or more smaller pieces. These vastly increased head-rows in fields will require additional chemicals to control weeds, as these rows serve as the buffer from the ditches and roads to the main crops. The STB needs to seriously look at the huge increase in chemicals needed to control the additional weeds this line will produce in the field's head-rows. Please also consider all the harmful chemicals the train line will use to control weeds, as they are required to do, along the tracks.
