We own land located in one of the potential rail lines. We have wetlands on that property. The United States feeds the world and we can't keep losing farmland. Our farm land has very good types of soil. The rail lines will be very close to our grain bins and dryer. It will be very costly to replace them. When roads are closed we will be a greater distance from the Mendota Hospital. We will be a longer distance from the Earlville Fire Department. Our land will be divided by the rail lines resulting in impossible farming problems. We built a 2600 square foot home which will be affected by the rail lines noise and fumes. There will be an environmental impact on the air and water.
