We are in opposition to the railway line being considered to go through Rock County. The proposed path of this railway line is 4 tenths of a mile from our house. People in this rural area have well water for ourselves and our livestock. Have you done a study into how many wells would be affected by a chemical/fuel spill should a train derailment happen. Have you looked into how long it would be before our water would be safe to drink again for ourselves and our livestock? Have you determined how we would obtain enough water for ourselves and several hundred head of livestock until our well water would once again be safe to drink? Please do an in depth study into this and make your findings available to the landowners. Thank you.
