A bypass takes train away from an area. The Great Lakes Railroad does not do this, you need to deny this proposal as it does not bypass the greater Chicagoland region. Please also explain why the line costs 8 billion dollars when Canadian National bought the E,J and E line for just 300 million. Why does GLB not simply purchase and expand an existing set of tracks, this would be environmentally safer and less expensive for the company. If you can buy an entire existing bypass for just 300 million why spend 8 billion to build a new one? Please explain this.
