Re: Docket No. FD 35952 - Great Lakes Basin Transportation, Inc. Dear Mr. Navecky, In a letter signed and dated July 5, 2016, by Victoria Rutson and sent to Jay Johnson, Venable LLP representing Great Lakes Basin Transportation, Inc. requests are make to provide additional alternatives to the proposed route that could minimize some of the protection environmental impacts of GLBT's proposed rail line. The information that the Surface Transportation Board has requested from GLBT is required by August 29, 2016. The letter states that this request has been made because, as of the date of the letter, more than 3500 scoping comments had been received that brought this particular element to your attention. When Great Lakes Basin Transportation, Inc. responds to your requests, it will be the public who is not only knowledgeable but also has the right to comment once again on any alternatives and revisions. We ask that the same formality be offered to the public as it is to GLBT, inc. and the comment period for the public be extended. Regards, April Gerstung
