I work in Alsip IL and there is a railroad that travels through the town and my office is 1/4mile from the tracks and on days that the line is busy and trains are moving through at a speed of maybe 30 mph I can hear them like they are right outside my window. My house that is being completed is only 200 feet from this proposed rail line and doesn't have buildings, trees, green areas to block or absorb the sound from this proposed train that will be traveling at 70 miles per hour 24 hours a day with up to 110 trains. How will this not impact the environment negatively? This railroad is not for the good of all, it is for the profit of a few so I ask that you deny the request to construct this railroad.
