I am in the process of completing a new home that I started prior to being informed of this proposed railroad. I am 200 north of the proposed track and just completed drilling my well and this well is only 60' below the surface and is the only water source I will have. With the weight, vibrations and material that will be coming from this proposed railroad there is a very possible chance that this and all the other private and public wells will be contaminated or collapsed. It's seems odd to me to think that with what happened in Detroit and their water system that anyone would be willing to put their name on the line allowing something like this to move forward knowing that that its not if but when these wells will be contaminated and people will develop illnesses or worse die from it. To date I have not seen a report that will show that this railroad will have a positive impact on the environment but we as land and home owners are being forced to prove that this will negatively impact our environment. There is something wrong with that. Please deny this request for the construction of this railroad.
