Please explain why if there are over 700 railroad companies in the United States, all of varying sizes, not one has proposed a scheme like the Great Lakes Basin Railroad has? Obviously with over 700 for profit railroads in the US, if this was a good idea one of them would have asked to build the line themselves, or they would be partners with the GLB team. Please also explain why this line is needed focusing on the fact it is the biggest proposed line in over 100 years in the nation. No one else has done this or supported this, because it is not needed. There is no other explanation and I urge the STB to deny the GLB request or provide in great detail why this company knows more about railroads than the 700 other lines in the nation.
