I am writing in regards to the Great Lakes Basin Rail Project. The path that is proposed is already in place just a few miles away. The Wisconsin & Southern R.R. Company runs from Janesville to Beloit WI which turns into the Canadian Pacific from Beloit to Rockford. It then meets up with the Illinois Railway from Rockford to Rochelle IL, then the BNSF from Rochelle to Peoria IL. The Great Lakes Basin Project map runs parallel to these lines which are less then 4 miles away or closer in many cases. I feel to continue this project is a great waste of good farmland and natural resources that is unwarranted. Thank you, Brian Hall
