Dear Mr. Navecky, I would like to state my complete and total opposition to the GLB Transportation proposal. The environmental impact would be devastating, with thousands of homes, business, schools and communities being destroyed. That is not even to mention the dire safety hazards involved. Frank Pattons' claims of secret, private investors warrants concern of whether there are enough funds for project completion. I find two things he has said very disturbing. One is his quote that the RRIF currently has a balance of $30 billion and the federal government is aggressive to use it". My take-away from this is that the government just wants to spend money...without concern for the welfare of the people in this railway's path. Also, when asked how much of the $8 billion will come from foreign investors, Patton said he could not say. I don't find this transparent at all. I implore the STB to remove this proposal in it's entirety. The American people should not live in this fear of having our land taken from us and our earning ability taken from us and our way of life forever changed. Please reject, deny, refuse and throw out this proposal now and cease all current EIS process. Thank you, Julie Kokos 708-426-4180"
